We went to the Joe Martin Stage Race after church today. These are the real deal professional racers from all over the world. It was neat to see them race.
The cheering section!
The kids participated in a kids bike race. They had a blast! They loved having a number bib pinned to their shirt and getting a medal at the end of the race!
On your mark, get set, GO!
They may have been last, but they finished strong!
On Sunday, I ran my first half marathon with the Marathon Mamas. We did the Heels and Hills Half Marathon in Irving, Texas. We made it a whole girl's weekend including eating great food and shopping! What an adventure!
That is called being prepared!
Jake and Robin came to support us. We were so grateful for the cheering and pictures!
It was a mostly female race, but most of the pacers were men in skirts!
Having fun!
The homestretch.
Still smiling after its over!
My time on my watch. The chip time was actually 1 hour 50 minutes and 58 seconds.
Strong finishers!
Meghan blew her PR out of the water by 11 minutes!
My handsome husband.
Robin came to cheer and take pictures of this day! Thank you!
A few weeks ago we had a birthday party for Zachary at Durham's Gymnastics. Everyone had a good time. Zachary seemed like he was kinda in a funk....later we figured out why. He threw up EVERYWHERE at a restaurant after the party. That was a lovely first for me. Happy birthday, big guy!
They always let the birthday kid on the rings first. He was fine at first...
...and then he could not let go and it freaked him out.
The dads gave us a vault show!
The awesome cake my talented mom made.
Zachary's reaction to everyone singing Happy Birthday to him. See what I mean by a funk?
Wish I could have seen the "I don't feel good" look on his face at the time.
