Family reunion

All of the Van Lear's (from all over the country) met last weekend for a wonderful, much needed weekend together. Aidan LOVED riding his bike with his cousins. What a big boy!

Aidan has started singing a catchy tune with he is concentrating hard on riding his bike. We are also still working on that awesome dismount! We thought this was pretty good for two days of practice!

Tiny Titans that are less tiny this season

Wanna be Tiny Titan. Zachary starts squealing with excitement when we turn towards the soccer fields. He is having a hard time understanding that he can't play with Aidan.

I love this picture for two reasons: 1. Zachary sitting on his own soccer ball in the middle of the team meeting, and 2. Aidan falling off his ball in the middle of the team meeting.

Independence

Aidan loves to make his own choices. I also love our privacy fence in the backyard so we can be free to wear whatever we feel like!

Cars socks go with everything, right?!

No training wheels?...

Aidan decided he wanted to ride his bike with no training wheels. So, Jake got out the screwdriver and took them off. First, he wanted to put knee pads and elbow pads on, but then he was ready to hit the road (with Jake holding on, of course!)

He did pretty well and maybe by later this summer he will get the hang of it!

Tulsa Zoo

This first picture is just for your pleasure! This was taken on Zachary's birthday when he insisted on wearing snow boots. This was all fine until we were ready to go to the park!

We went to the Tulsa Zoo for Zachary's 2nd birthday. We couldn't have asked for better weather...it was beautiful!

Fine looking boys!

Zachary's favorite park by far was the water that the penguins swam in. He was thrilled to see all of that water and could care less about the penguins! It was too funny!

Not all of the cupcakes made the journey to the zoo but Zachary did not care!

Birthday cupcakes!

Today is Zachary's 2nd birthday! Wow, that time as gone quickly! My computer says this picture was taken at 1:22 pm (7 minutes after Zachary was born!) He weighed a whopping 7 lbs 11oz.

9 months prego!

Today we made cupcakes to take with us to the Tulsa Zoo on Saturday. The boys like watching them grow!

I used silicone baking cups (found them at Hobby Lobby) that are frog and turtle shaped!

(I am kinda proud of myself!) They are cute!
